My Top Beauty Picks for SPRING !
As the dreary winter months come to a close, we begin to welcome my most favourite season…SPRING! YAY! Spring is a beautiful time of year here in Queensland. The flowers are blooming, the sun is shining and I can finally stow away my manky old ugg boots (until next Winter, of course). Spring time also means it's time for a whole new beauty regime, so here are my top picks for Spring! Enjoy xx
Daisy by Marc Jacobs - This cult classic is a fave of mine during the Spring. Daisy is a perfect mix of floral, flirty and fun ;) Get it from here.
Illamasqua Cream Blusher in RUDE - Such a beautiful cream blush! The perfect peachy-pink colour. I use it all year round, but I especially love it in the Spring. You can use your fingers to apply, or alternatively use a brush (I like to use a stippling brush like this one). I purchased mine from Myer.
Nivea Caramel Cream Lip Butter - I just picked this up from Coles, and I think I'm in love! Just a basic lip butter, very moisturising, but what makes this a favourite is definitely the scrumptious caramel smell (and taste)!
Sportsgirl POUT ABOUT IT lip colours in Mad About You and Orange Crush - I don't usually purchase makeup from clothing stores, as it tends to be pretty dismal…but these lipsticks from Sportsgirl are definitely the exception! Both are a matte finish, super pigmented and very long wearing, AND they're really cheap! Get them here.
Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub - Another really popular product! I love Lush, and this sugary lip scrub really gets the job done. It's vegan, it's pink, it's bubblegum…what more can I say? Get one here.
Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Skin Perfecting Makeup (foundation) - I love using this foundation for Spring, as it gives the most flawless, natural finish. Vitalumiere Aqua gives a sheer, light to medium coverage, which is perfect for the warmer months when the last thing you want is a face full of caked on foundation! Make sure you shake well before use :) I apply mine with my fingers, or a brush like this.
Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara - Lancome is very well known for creating beautiful mascaras, and the Hypnose Doll Eyes is no exception! The brush has a unique cone-like shape to it, so it's great at applying product to the lashes on the inner corner of the eye, and on the lower lash line. This mascara is very long lasting, and it smells like flowers! Perfect for Spring :) get one here.
Yankee Candle in Sweet Strawberry - One thing you will come to know; I am OBSESSED with candles! To me, there is no better feeling than sitting on my bed reading a good book, with a beautiful candle burning. This candle smells exactly as it sounds, super sweet and like real strawberries! I got mine from Trade Secret, but you can easily find them online.
Australis Makeup Finishing Spritz - I honestly can't recall how many bottles of this stuff I've gone through! I use this spray first thing in the morning to wake up my skin, to set my foundation, and to cool off after a workout. Perfect for those warmer Spring days, and hot Summer nights! I got mine from here.
Lastly, every girl needs a good deodorant…especially in the warmer months of the year! My favourite at the moment is the Nivea Double Effect anti-perspirant. It has a pleasant, fresh scent and lasts all day.
